The quality is not as great since I didn't save it to the highest quality due to time.
process: ( it's hard to show progress through film editing, I thought it would be easier to show a tutorial at the end. )
I first began this project with making a separate font in Photoshop (the tutorial is in my other reflection) After uploading WWII footage from youtube (downloading through mp3 converter) I added a red and black colour gradient using a sequence, allowing all of the footage to be edited at once. I then did some fine tuning with certain clips, reversing, speeding them up etc by right clicking on each specific clip and personally changing each. Then, I added title cards. I referenced the Fury title sequence using http://www.artofthetitle.com/title/fury/ ( 10/10 useful for reference and describing the sequence.) Soon, i then dragged my Photoshop 'FURY' text into a clip and played with the settings, ending up with soft light. For the final step, i added the Fury music over each clip. (physically showing and teaching film editing is much easier)
my tutorial for the text
This project gave me a better understanding of editing and made me feel more comfortable with Premier. I usually am more of a cinematographer, but this will make definitely better and quicker in the future. I didn't struggle with much since I've done this before, however, never done credits. Now I'm excited to do more of this for my own films.
Next i would like to possibly add a clip within the Fury text itself instead of a still image like in the sequence. I was going to attempt this but ran out of time sadly.
brainstorm:
examples: http://www.artofthetitle.com/title/fury
I'm going to attempt to make a title sequence with WWII footage in the background similar to Fury. ( 6/10 difficulty )
the results:
I did achieve my anticipated results, I was very happy for the outcome despite it being somewhat blurry. I tried going back to fix it but footage was lost due to the computer resetting. I think I deserve around a 8/10 for the actual sequence. I know i could have updated more on my process but often forgot and was too busy working on it to remember what I even did since so much goes into editing. I really enjoyed working on this.
( the text is messing up and wont let me change the font bigger )
